Brown: Brown shades in a room are always associated with comfort and natural materials. These earthy shades can be used nearly everywhere in a home. They have a calming effect and can be combined with many other colours, for example a delicate creme, as well as blue, green or grey tones. As a rule of thumb it can be said that the deeper the brown shade is, the lighter should the contrasting colour be. White is always a good choice as a combination with brown.
