Sandstone look
Tierra" shade
With the sandstone look, you can create natural-looking walls that match the country house style or shabby chic apartments.
The mixture of sand-colored clay decorative plaster and grained plaster gives the walls structure and radiates warm comfort.
The look can be implemented in different color variations.

Recipe for "Tierra" shade
Mix of
- 10 l clay decorative plaster no. 311
- 10 kg roller and brush-on plaster no. 307 (fine)
- 4 l tinted wall paint in shade no. 258 (mixing ratio 5 l wall paint no. 321, 0.5 l full-tone and tinting paint no. 330-10 ochre yellow and 0.25 l full-tone and tinting paint no. 330-82 burnt umber)

Step 1
1st and only application: The mixture made from decorative clay plaster, full-tone and tinting paint and roller and brush-on plaster is applied very thickly with a roller, brush or smoothing trowel. First apply approx. 1-2 m² (consumption approx. 750-1000 ml per m²).
Step 2
Then "smooth" the surfaces with a Venetian trowel or a plastic spatula. Do not just smooth in one direction, but criss-cross as far as possible and intentionally leave trowel strokes or edges and bulges.
Step 3
Then dab the trowel into the fresh material. Depending on how you move the trowel (e.g. slightly angled) or how hard you dab into the material, patterns of varying intensity are created. The material is "torn open".
Step 4
It is also up to you whether you apply these dabs more tightly or with more spaces in between. This allows you to control the liveliness of the texture. If it has become too "lively", you can simply smooth this area again and dab it in again.
Step 5
The tips of the "churned up" structure are then smoothed out again slightly with feeling so that "notches" remain in the recesses. Depending on your taste and the desired effect, you can smooth more or less strongly here.
Step 6
It should be borne in mind that the material collapses during drying and does not remain as extremely "torn" as it does when wet. The "sharpness" and liveliness of the texture is significantly lower in the dried state.
