Notes on color tone display

The colors displayed on your monitor may differ and are not binding.
Almost every user sees incorrect colors, as monitors are usually not optimally adjusted.

However, it is possible to calibrate the monitor yourself and optimize the color tone display.

With Windows programs, the screen can be calibrated via the control panel.

  • Open the search window in the Windows Start menu or press the [Windows] and [S] keys simultaneously to open the search directly in newer Windows versions.
  • Enter “Calibrate screen color” here and Windows’ own calibration tool will be suggested to you.
  • Alternatively, you can also use a program such as the DQ-Tool.
  • Now follow the instructions on the screen and set the gamma value, brightness and contrast. You can also adjust the color values.
  • Finally, compare the old setting with the new one and then save the changes.

Other obstacles to color tone display

  • The color has a different effect in dark or light rooms.
  • Artificial light and light bulbs have a more yellowish light than daylight.
  • Intense color tones also appear more color-intensive on large surfaces, the light is reflected less by the dark surfaces.

Our recommendation: It is better to carry out a test coat beforehand for intensive colors.
