Braunschweig, November 13, 2024 – AURO Pflanzenchemie AG, a pioneer in ecological natural paints and wood care products for decades, has been named the winner of the 17th German Sustainability Award (DNP) in the Companies, Construction and Real Estate sector, Coatings and Paints category. The award ceremony will take place on November 28, 2024 as part of the German Sustainability Day in Düsseldorf and recognizes AURO’s consistent commitment to sustainable product development based on plant and mineral raw materials. AURO Pflanzenchemie AG from Braunschweig has been developing environmentally friendly paints, varnishes and cleaning agents that are biodegradable since 1983. With these innovative products, the company sets standards for the sustainable design of living spaces and makes an important contribution to the “chemical turnaround”. Founder and eco-pioneer Dr. Hermann Fischer has been campaigning for “green chemistry” since the end of the 1970s, i.e. for everyday products to be made from plants, algae, microorganisms and minerals rather than petroleum-based products.
