Sustainability

Responsibility and respect for the environment

Sustainability is part of our identity. Since the company was founded in 1983, sustainability has been an integral part of AURO’s corporate culture. Our products are consistently ecological. We are committed to a future-proof, sustainable form of economic activity and climate protection.

Sustainability and quality

The concept of producing high-performance natural products with high quality standards is unique. With our many years of expertise in the best ingredients, we combine technology, quality and environmental science. This is what makes our paints, wood care products and cleaners so powerful and exceptional. The products can easily be returned to the natural material cycle.

We are happy to bear our responsibility

We are a sustainable company and, wherever economically and practically possible, we influence the specific social and ecological conditions under which our products are produced. We promote fair relationships with our partners, especially in exotic growing regions.

Biodiversity is a matter close to our hearts, as is comprehensive climate protection. We take our responsibility proactively in all these areas. We act in a way that is socially responsible, ecologically compatible and economically successful.

What we do for climate protection

When AURO was founded in 1983, it was clear from the outset that we operate in harmony with people and nature. We are committed to biodiversity and healthy nature – and therefore also to climate protection. We help to protect the climate with electricity from renewable energies, cooperation with the nature conservation organization NABU for more biodiversity and also with recycled packaging.

Responsibility for the procurement of our raw materials

Our supply chain is socially and ecologically compatible. Wherever it is economically and practically possible, the company influences the specific social and ecological conditions of production. One example of this is the raw material achiote. As AURO raw materials also come from exotic growing regions, we have our suppliers sign declarations on social standards – based on the core standards of the International Labor Organization (ILO). These include the renunciation of child labor, living wages, humane working conditions, freedom of association and free collective bargaining.
