Elephant conservation in Tanzania: Exclusive cooperation between AURO and NABU International

Brunswick, June 2023 – For people and nature – this is the common motto that has united the German Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU) and AURO for 38 years. The organization’s international projects primarily include projects that involve local people and contribute to sustainable development. AURO is now exclusively supporting the minimization of human-wildlife conflicts near the Mkomazi National Park in Tanzania in cooperation with the NABU International Nature Conservation Foundation. Conflicts are inevitable due to the ever smaller areas for humans and animals. NABU International’s work on the ground provides a remedy. Edwin Hribek, AURO Chairman of the Board, is delighted with the cooperation “It is important to be actively involved in as many environmental issues as possible. By supporting the project, we are sending out a signal that environmentally friendly products and sustainable production processes alone are not enough. The exclusive project can be viewed here.

About AURO

The company AURO was founded in 1983 as a limited liability company and was transformed into AURO Pflanzenchemie AG in 1998. The company is based in Braunschweig. AURO is a consistent pioneer in the field of ecological paints, wood care and cleaning products. For its paints, varnishes, glazes, oils, waxes, cleaning and care products, the company has always made a conscious decision to use substances derived from plant and mineral sources. The stylish shades have a particularly authentic and aesthetic appearance thanks to the environmentally friendly formulation. The concept of producing high-performance natural products with high quality standards is unique. Founder and eco-pioneer Dr. Hermann Fischer has been campaigning for “green chemistry” since the end of the 1970s, i.e. for everyday products to be based on plants, algae, microorganisms and minerals rather than petroleum. He has received numerous awards for his commitment, including the “Friends of Earth” environmental prize and was voted Eco-Manager of the Year by WWF and Capital. Production takes place in Germany. All products are available in over 700 specialist stores in Germany. They are exported to other European countries as well as North America, Canada and Asia. Numerous awards confirm AURO’s commitment.
