Treating mold stains on walls
Causes
If there is mold in the home, it must be removed as quickly as possible.
There are several reasons why mold develops:
- Construction defects and incorrect ventilation and heating behavior, especially in houses that are airtight according to the new energy-saving regulations, are the problem. Moisture is drawn into the walls and cannot escape again. This creates the risk of mold infestation.
The sooner the fungus is combated after it is discovered, the better. Heavily infested areas should be remediated as quickly as possible, as mold spores are stirred up by any air movement. Conventional mold removal products often contain harmful chlorine compounds and the remediation product then introduces new health risks into the home.

Mold Remover No. 412:
AURO Mold Remover is chlorine-free. It can be used indoors and outdoors on tiles, walls, wood and plastic, even in damp rooms. Please test for surface compatibility in an inconspicuous place before use. The disinfectant mold remover is sprayed evenly onto infested surfaces and should be left to work for at least one hour, or longer in the case of heavy infestation. Then wipe off with a soft brush or sponge and thoroughly remove any dissolved residue. The mold remover can be washed off without leaving any residue. Ingredients: Water, hydrogen peroxide, alcohol, wine vinegar, sugar surfactant, aspartic acid.
Mold Stop No. 413:
Stops mold infestation in an effective and material-friendly way. Schimmel-Stop works on the basis of sustainable ingredients, prevents new infestation through its long-term effect and is also chlorine-free. Infested areas should be treated with AURO Mold Remover before using Schimmel-Stop. Then spray on Schimmel-Stop and allow it to dry. Please check surfaces for compatibility beforehand.
Further treatment
Afterwards, further treatment with AURO Anti-mold paint can be carried out.
Anti-mold paint no. 327:
AURO Anti-Mildew Paint is a solvent-free, breathable and ready-to-use mineral-based interior wall paint. It has good hiding power and walls painted with it are largely resistant to new infestation due to the high pH value (approx. 12) of the paint. AURO Anti-Mildew Paint is easy to apply by brushing or rolling onto areas at risk. Depending on the substrate, the coverage is up to 10m2 /L per coat. To determine compatibility with old coats, please apply a test coat. The wall paint is not suitable for permanently damp areas. AURO Anti-Mildew Paint can be tinted or painted over with Lime Color Paint No. 350. With 7 solid shades and the resulting combinations, you have a wide range of color variations at your disposal.
