Hardwood lye No. 402

For light-coloured wooden floors in Scandinavian style, a slightly white pigmented lye is recommended for new, sanded solid hardwood indoors. Subsequent treatment with AURO Wood Soap No. 403 or AURO Wood Soap White No. 404 is recommended, resulting in open-pored, completely vapour-permeable surfaces that look very light and natural. The surfaces are not very dirt-repellent, so we recommend application in less frequented rooms such as bedrooms or guest rooms. Apply with a brush, flat brush or foam roller.

Wash out woods rich in substances with alcohol thinner, sand and clean after drying. Apply the lye evenly in the direction of the fibres. Follow-up treatment with AURO Wood Soap No. 403 or 404.

The product is not suitable for softwoods. Gloves and safety goggles should be worn when working with the slightly alkaline product.
