Cradle to Cradle GOLD
Cradle to cradle" or "from origin to origin" is an approach for a continuous and consistent circular economy. Cradle to Cradle products can therefore either be returned to biological cycles as biological nutrients or can be continuously kept in technical cycles as "technical nutrients". The system was designed in the late 1990s by the German chemist Michael Braungart and the US-American architect William McDonough.
The concept is inspired by natural recycling cycles in which there are no problems with "waste" or wastage. The C-2-C products and their components can be returned to a biological cycle.The Cradle to Cradle cycle also takes into account resource conservation, e.g. reducing water consumption, and social factors.
